The DCBC provides this list of physicians as a service to occupational divers and dive school applicants. While we have made attempts to ensure that the information contained on the website is correct, DCBC is not responsible for errors or omissions, or for the medical opinions resulting from the use of this information.
Each of the physicians identified below have provided DCBC with evidence of having completed a Level 1 hyperbaric medicine course and therefore Certificates of Medical Fitness provided by these physicians are acceptable to the Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) but may not be acceptable to all regulators or diver training establishments.
Medicals conducted according to the CSA Z275.2 standard by American board certified hyperbaric doctors and doctors listed as Diving Medical Examiners by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) are also acceptable to DCBC.
Divers should be aware that not all regulators will recognize all of the physicians identified below, and therefore divers must confirm the acceptability of a given physician with the regulator responsible for the area in which they intend to dive.
Applicants to diver training establishments (DTE) should be aware that not all DTE’s will recognize all of the physicians identified below, and therefore applicants must confirm the acceptability of a given physician with the DTE to which they intend to apply.
