For a complete description of the scheme in pdf format please click here.
- The scheme, as it applies to the Offshore Air Diving Supervisor, is in operation. Although there are not yet any Offshore Air Diving Supervisor courses available in Canada we expect accredited schools will begin to offer such courses early in 2008.
- Application for certification should be made on the printable application form available on this site.
- For a period of 12 months, i.e. until December 31, 2008, all or part of the experience required in Section 3.2.1 of the scheme may have been gained before taking the training course.
- After January 1, 2009 candidates must take the training course before starting to collect the experience noted in Section 3.2.1.
- Candidates must have completed the course and the required experience before applying for the exam.
- Candidates may take any DCBC, IMCA or ADAS approved trainee supervisor course.
- Candidates who hold a National Energy Board offshore supervisor certificate do not have to take the trainee supervisor course. They will have to sit the DCBC supervisor exam.
- Legislation modules for the North Sea and Australian waters are not yet available.
- Candidates for examination must provide sufficient notice to the DCBC to allow sufficient time for the generation and validation of the exam and the arrangements to proctor or invigilate the exam.
- For further information contact the Executive Director by writing to dparkes@divercertificaton.com
