New Directors join the Board Bruce Banks of Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, Washington, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the DCBC, effective immediately. Bruce replaces James Wilson who retired from the Board late last year. Three other directors were also elected at our AGM in Quebec City in May 2011 and will take their seats on the Board at our October 2011 meeting. They are Cory Beaudry of BC College of Diving, Garth Hiebert of Dominion Divers of Winnipeg, MB, and Ian White, Closed Bell Diver from St. John's, NL. Leaving the Board in October will be David Squires, Dave Geddes and John Scott. See the full list of current directors under the "about us" menu tab. |

Certificate fees to increase 10% on August 1, 2010 Certificate fees charged by the Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) will increase 10% on August 1, 2010. This is the first increase in fees in the seven-year operating history of the DCBC. |
| Oct 23, 2009 | DCBC is now ISO 9001:2008 registered DCBC has received our certificate of registration as an ISO 9001:2008 complliant organization. We are registered through QMI-SAI Canada who conducted an external aurdit of our Quallity Management System on October 7 & 8, 2009 |
| Oct 01, 2009 | Netherlands MOU signed The Chairman of the Board of the Netherlands Diving Centre (NDC) and the Chief Executive Officer of the DCBC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 21, 2009 in Delft, Netherlands. The MOU will make it easier for the NDC to certify holders of DCBC certificates for work in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, and will make it easier for holders of NDC certificates to receive DCBC certification. The principal change is that holders of DCBC certificates will no longer have to appear in person in Delft to apply for NDC certification. |
